Annual Summit

Below The 2019 LaHEC Annual Professional Development Summit will took place Thursday, May 23rd – Friday, May 24th at Pennington Biomedical Research Center located at 6400 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70808.

 

This year’s summit provided sessions on the 2019 Core Alcohol and Drug Survey results, prevention for veteran & military-connected students and their families, creating a campus-wide culture of prevention, an online SBIRT demonstration, information on the implementation of Louisiana’s newest hazing laws, and hazing prevention. Attendees had the opportunity to listen to a broad range of substance abuse prevention topics.
Dr. Joseph Bodenmiller (FPHSA), Bridget Bailey (TRACC) and Kim Walker (5 Stones Media) did an awesome job showcasing their partnership to use social norming to decrease the negative effects of substance use in Tangipahoa Parish.
